Hello, everyone!

l 有些我带过的同学是之前有过其他老师的培训经历的,他们很多人被灌输一个片面观念:雅思口语只需要集中精力熟练掌握part 1的常规话题,背好part 2的当季话题“口语稿”,掌握串题的技巧即可,这肯定是不对的;

l 过于强调“技巧”回答问题,是违背雅思口语测试的目的的:“Examiners are only interested in your language and your ability to communicate. That is all they are assessing and judging.”

①通过做真题积累,听力阅读内容是的,写作的官方答案、口语的标准回答也是的,通过精读、精听和修改是最直接精准的积累;

②阅读外刊,例如经济学人、境外新闻网站等,这是磨炼你阅读能力,同时可以积累大量地道词汇的方式;

1. 用于信息补充的词短语:and, also, too, as well, Besides, like, such as, For example

The foods of that restaurant taste amazing and even my grandma often loves going there.

The foods of that restaurant taste amazing. Besides, even my grandma often loves going there.

I don’t like to eat the food. Besides, I am not hungry right now.

2. 表达因果条件变换的词短语:because, so, if, but, Although, however, while, on the other hand, rather than, instead of

(Because)It’s on the far side, so it can’t be seen from here.

My job is quite stressful. On the other hand(however), it pays well.

An advantage of using the tide rather than waves is predictable.

l 请用地道的口语插入词“like”或“you know”代替不地道的“how to say”,但是要掌握用的频率不宜过多

I will talk about ocean energy that relies on the movement of the oceans. That might cause the see level to rise.

Part3: books

Question: What are the types of books that young people like to read?

(直接亮出观点)Comic books and graphic novels are great for young people who don’t have sufficient time to read and those who want to be entertained in this way.(young people和those用and来并列构成for的对象,两个定语从句分别修饰这两个对象)

(给出理由)①Some young adult readers like books that are fast paced.(定语从句修饰 books, fast paced非常常用的口语词,“快节奏的”)

Slow moving plots will lose the reader’s interest.(plot意思比较多,在这里是故事情节story,同义词替换)

②Having a cliffhanger at the end of every chapter keeps readers wanting more.(cliffhanger一个很有想象的词,字面理解是挂在悬崖上的东西,引申过来就是有悬念的故事结尾)

(举例说明)For example, detectives and mysteries are their favorites.(举例连接词)

Some others may prefer fantasies and adventures.

(结论收尾)Young people are in favor of adventurous stories with a setting in an imaginary world.(in favor of同义词替换like)

Question: What’s the difference between paper books and e-books?

(观点1)Print books have some advantages over e-books, including that they have the feel of a book that many readers love.(print books 同义替换paper books, including做补充连接词+that名词性从句+复合定语从句)

(举例说明理由)You can hold it, turn the pages, and feel the paper. Besides, hardcover and paperback books are good for our eyesight while staring at the screen would cause eye-strain.(连接词and, Besides, while时间状语从句)

(观点2)If you work in front of a computer all day, the last thing(that) you might want to do is to read your favorite author’s stories on a computer screen.(if条件状语从句,主句中名词性从句修饰主语,动词不定式to read做名词性表语)

(举例说明理由)①On the other hand, paper books can be difficult to carry around, especially hardcover books.(on the other hand, especially 副词补充举例说明连接词)

②If you’re an avid reader and you’re going on a trip, you’d need to pack books in your luggage, whereas an e-reader or iPad is far easier to take.(if条件状语从句假设将来发生的事,avid注意词义的可替换性,whereas转换连接词做对比说明性状语从句)

③Moreover, E-books are usually less expensive than their paper counterparts.(moreover副词做连接词补充说明)

Part 3: the games in your childhood

Question: What’s the difference between boys’ and girls’ games?

(观点①+理由)Girls show more interest in people and faces than boys do,which may explain why little girls are more likely to play with dolls, while boys gravitate toward trains and trucks.(which非限定性定语从句中接关系副词why表原因的定语从句,而原因就是while让步状语从句,层层递进陈述观点,gravitate toward = be interested in同义词替换)

(观点②+理由)Girls also tend to talk earlier and be more verbal than boys, which is why they may prefer pretend play and make-believe games.(which非限定性定语从句,接关系副词why表原因的定语从句,prefer后面pretend play和make-believe games为名词)

Girls are born to be careful and considerate.

When they are little, they often cuddle and care for their stuffed animals or Barbie dolls.(when时间状语从句,cuddle and care for 很形象的一种描述)

While, boys tend to enjoy tasks that take advantage of their mechanical and spatial skills, such as playing with blocks, operating the switches on an activity board or playing electronic games with their friends.(while相当于but的意思,作为转换语气的连接词,自然)

Question: What’s the difference between the games children play now and those in the past?

(观点①+原因)Outdoor activities, video games and indoor board games are all easily accessible for children now.(now重读,说明第一个点)

In modern times, a majority of kids are indulged in playing computer games for long hours and are dedicated less to playing outdoor activities.(and为两个并列句,共用主语,modern times=nowadays)

Technology revolution results in daily new computer games being introduced into the market.(being introduced into market用来修饰computer games)

Due to the attractiveness of computer games, the production of traditional games is diminishing.(due to=because of表示原因补充信息)

(观点②+原因)Looking back, outdoor games seemed to be more prevalent.(looking back=in the past,开始阐述另一个观点,prevalent=more common/popular)

Children would have to gather together and play simple activities such as hopscotch, hide-and-seek.(would用来表示过去,gather和play是一套动作,such as 用来举例)

These types of games require children to be geographically together.(表示前面的例子)

Apart from that, children also played with toys which can be anything from simple pieces of string and plastic to fancy dolls.(apart from that=besides,一般后面主语要跟一个also,which名词性从句,from...to..
