在“六一”国际儿童节到来之际，我们的城市将给“小主人们”带来怎样的礼物？A few days ago, the Zhengzhou Municipal Government released its Child-friendly City Construction Plan for Zhengzhou. According to the Plan, Zhengzhou will be built into a pilot child-friendly city by 2025. With that in place, the whole society will be committed to the development of children, urban planning and construction will take the needs of children into full consideration, and children will be deeply integrated into urban social life. By 2035, Zhengzhou will become a national child-friendly city, which will be an important symbol of Zhengzhous high-quality development. It will become a social consensus that we should be friendly to children. All kinds of child-friendly spaces will be found all over the city and childrens lives will be improved.
日前，郑州市政府发布了《郑州市儿童友好城市建设方案》。《方案》指出，到2025年建成在全国先行示范的儿童友好城市。全社会共同致力儿童发展，城市规划建设体现儿童视角，儿童深层次融入城市社会生活。到2035年，建成国家儿童友好城市，儿童友好成为郑州市高质量发展的重要标识，儿童友好理念成为全社会共识和全民自觉，各类儿童友好空间遍布全市，广大儿童享有更加美好的生活。

Currently, Zhengzhou has a permanent resident population of 12.6 million, with 3.63 million households and 2.889 million children aged 0-17 years. Zhengzhou has always attached great importance to the development of childrens undertakings. The city has actively practiced the concept of child-friendliness in all fields of economic and social development to promote high-quality development of childrens programs. That makes it an ideal place for the pilot project of building a child-friendly city.目前，郑州常住人口约1260万，拥有家庭363万余户，0~17岁儿童288.9万余人。一直以来，郑州市高度重视儿童事业的发展，在经济社会发展的各个领域积极践行儿童友好理念，推动儿童事业高质量发展，具备儿童友好城市建设试点良好的基础条件。By the end of 2020, Zhengzhou had 340 childcare institutions of various kinds, with 17,120 open enrollment positions. The city was home to 1,848 kindergartens, 1,490 primary and secondary schools and 13 special schools. Universal access to preschool education reached 81.85 per cent, the gross enrollment rate of three-year preschool education rose to 95.34 per cent, and the retention rate of compulsory education stood at 112.01 per cent. Senior high school education had been diversified, and access for children with disabilities to education had been guaranteed. It is also very necessary to ensure adequate sleep time for children.
